Originally from Syracuse, NY Steven Rogers is comedian based in NYC who has been making others laugh for most of his life. Performing in clubs all over the country, Steven has opened for comedians such as Joe List, Tom Papa, and Brian Regan. He has appeared in multiple comedy festivals like Lucy Fest, Limestone Comedy Festival, 10,000 Laughs and the Rogue Island Comedy Festival.
Steven’s clever rapid fire material full of observations about his life and the world around him has lead him to appearing on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Late Late Show with James Corden and Dry Bar Comedy.
His debut album/special “Before He Was Super” quickly hit #1 on iTunes and was named one of Paste’s Top 12 Best Comedy Albums of 2022 and one of Vanyaland’s Favorite Comedy Releases of 2022.
Peter Wong is a comedian from NYC who has been featured on Tosh.0 and was 2021’s New York Comedy Festival's comics to watch. Check out his YouTube channel where he has over 5 million views
Juan Nicolón is a stand up comedian, writer, and occasional nude model. His comedy has been described as "Larry David meets Sofia Vergara" - something Juan takes as a very big compliment.
You can see him yelling about soup all over New York city but more often than not at New York Comedy Club and Stand up NY. He is a long time writer and performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and a former on screen talent for FLAMA, Univision's bilingual digital platform where his viral videos were viewed over 20 million times.
He has written for McSweeney's and his work has been featured in Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, Latina Magazine, Time Out NY and The New Yorker.
He is originally from Uruguay (the other Paraguay).
Zach Mama is a stand-up comic, jazz drummer, and writer from Paris, France.
In September 2022, a month after he began shooting a road documentary series about stand-up comedy filmed across all 50 States, he won a $51 cash prize for "best set" at Thai Rivera's show in Las Vegas which he immediately spent on the Uber ride to the next show.
In October 2022, he won the "2022 Honolulu Fall Down Funny Comedy Tournament" in Hawai'i and was also awarded "Best New Comic in Hawai'i of 2022" by ComedyU (which he thought would look really good in his bio). He has opened for Hawai'i legend Andy Bumatai, rising star Tumua in San Diego as well as highly respected comics Paul Ogata and Butch Bradley among many others.
He has been on Tyler Smith's Dope Show, Monica Nevi's Super Secret Show in Seattle and opened for Shaun Latham at the Tempe Improv.
He is currently filming an entirely improvised road documentary series in which he interviews comics from various backgrounds about their journey.
He attempts to capture the different challenges faced by a comic from abroad who doesn't eat meat and is allergic to horses while living his dream on the road in America.
WHO IS SECRET SOCIETY COMEDY?
We are a nomad comedy club, popping up at different venues around Northeast Ohio every weekend. Featuring local favorites, nationally touring headliners, and more, our mission is to get you in on the best-kept secrets in stand-up comedy. You never know who you'll see...
Bryan Sternik is an up-and-coming Cleveland comedian whose conversational style and upbeat demeanor can make even his darkest jokes feel lighthearted. Bryan produces a monthly show at Dina's Pizza in Old Brooklyn, and co-produces Gratuity Not Included at Good Company, One More Joke at Judd's City Tavern, and Secret Society Comedy, a weekly pop-up comedy show. He is the co-host of "The Guiltless Podcast" and "Dude, Nobody Cares."
With a last name like that, Cleveland-based comic David Horning learned at a young age to lean into what bothers him using humor, and his comedy is a reflection of this. His optimistic slant on both mundane and heavy topics has gotten him selected to the New York Comedy Festival, Laughing Devil Comedy Festival, the Cleveland Comedy Festival, and on stages around the country. On top of stand-up, David regularly appears on conference stages as keynote speaker, teaching the value of humor in business to managers and executive teams across industries. He also produces Secret Society Comedy, a pop-up comedy club bringing the best up-and-coming comedians from around the country to Northeast Ohio.
Gheramy is the owner and operator of Golden Ox Studio. He produces local favorite podcasts such as Shit Brains, Brett Talk, You Can't Laugh At That, Teach These Devils, and several more for the Golden Ox Network. He can be seen on comedy stages across the city and has recently performed in the Mutiny Radio Comedy Fest, Cleveland Comedy Festival, Sixth City Comedy Fest, and the Midwestern Queer Comedy Festival. Renowned failure and a well educated idiot whose only contribution to this world will be when he is no longer in it, Gheramy is not sorry that you wasted your time reading this bio.
